I wouldn't use a corned beef - just a regular beef brisket.

I don't know about this, corned beef has a total different flavor than a regular beef brisket, and only 4 hours? Smoking a brisket normally takes 6 - 8 hours

We had a smoker given to us and my husband didn't like to wait so long for his dinner., He destroyed it before I could tell him it wasn't a regular grill!! Men don't read directions. Idiots!!!

smoked brisket is delicious - and you can also use chicken (whole or in quarters or halves), pork tenderloin, turkey breasts -- with many smokers you do not have to watch the meat like you do with burgers-just keep checking it periodically -- and then enjoy

Since I don't own a smoker I wonder if using a liquid smoke would work

Don't have a smoker. Maybe I can borrow the neighbor's if I invite him for dinner.
