

Ingredients:
20 or 24 oz of frozen broccoli /chopped style
1 stick butter
1 row Ritz crackers
1/2 lb. pkg. Velveeta cheese
Directions:
Cook broccoli, drain.
Melt half a stick of butter and cheese over low heat.
In a casserole bowl gently mix broccoli, with the melted cheese and butter together.
Mlt the other half stick of butter. crunch the row of ritz crackers.
Mix crackers together with butter and pour over the broccoli mixture.
Cook uncovered at 325 for about 30 minutes.

I would use fresh broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese. I also steam the broccoli and pour (heated) nacho cheese dip over it.

Are people sticking the nose up at Velveeta because of the taste? If it because it is processed, I guess you don't eat american cheese either? It's all processed. I like this dish and have made it for years.

velveeta ok but this is not your everyday dish. Needs just a little liquid to thin the cheese just a little bit. Maybe 2 tbsp. or so.

Not in this house either. I serve fresh cooked broccoli with shredded cheddar over it or a simple cheese sauce if the kids want cheese, usually we just serve it with a bit of butter on top.
