Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce

COOK TIME 20 Min
READY IN 30 Min
Ingredients:
4 (4 ounce) fillets tilapia
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, or to taste
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Season the tilapia fillets with salt, pepper and Cajun seasoning on both sides. Arrange the seasoned fillets in a single layer in the baking dish. Place a layer of lemon slices over the fish fillets. I usually use about 2 slices on each piece so that it covers most of the surface of the fish.
Bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
While the fish is baking, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, lemon juice and dill in a small bowl. Serve with Tilapia

I made the dip but modified it to what I had (sorry I normally like to make recipes as stated but couldn't this time) anyway I only had light sour cream, dried dill, and used True Lemon (sample packet!) and garlic powder. It ended up tasting like a nice fresh dip. It was very good and refreshing w/the Fish. Thanks for the recipe!

I love love love Talapia. Such a mild tasting fish and the filets cook u so fast! This sounds yummy! I don't have any light mayo (my mayo of choice) but do have light sour cream, I may try dressing just using it. I can almost taste it now...Yum!!!!

This looks great! People may not realize that Tilipia is a very healthy fish to eat, so recipes like these are good.

Substitute a cup of Greek Yogurt instead - it's thick, creamy, good for you and less than half the fat if that. it also has a nice tnag that goes well with cajun seasoning - helps cool the fires!

Perfect timing -- I just pulled some tilapia out of the freezer -- have to try this. Thanks.
